The bed & breakfast "il Picco" is nestled in the woods on the slopes of Mount St. Bernardo (860 meters above sea level) at about 3 km from the center of Dronero at the mouth of the beautiful valley of the Maira. Provides you with two cozy rooms with independent access and private bathroom.

Il B&B "il Picco" is not just a house but a dream come true, the result of 15 years of work to transform an abandoned area in a beautiful place to live and welcoming to guests. We have chosen to leave the city away from the convenience of local stores and cinemas around the corner but we found serenity in living in natural surroundings. The downstream Maira can and should be covered with patience and without the typical hustle and bustle of mass tourism. His wealth, historical and human, must somehow be discovered and 'sip' slowly.

B&B "il PICCO" offers you two comfortable rooms with bathroom and independent access from the outside.
Guests have a garden and a beautiful forest where children can play freely and you will spend pleasant days relaxing in the green.
The ideal starting point for the famous trekking "Percorsi Occitani" you will have the opportunity to consult maps and guides to choose your route for walking, for mountain bike or for visit the art treasures of the Maira Valley.
In the morning enjoy a hearty breakfast with particular attention to those who suffer from food allergies.
In the entire building has possible an internet connection wi-fi with your laptop.
Cars can be left near the entrance to the structure or in the yard closed.
Sustainable tourism
For preserve nature and to respect the environment we have installed a photovoltaic system that allows us to be almost self-sufficient in terms of electricity consumption.
During the renovation phase, we gave maximum importance to the aspects of green building, favoring the use of natural materials (stone, wood, lime paints ...) and energy saving with the use of double glazing and natural insulation.
Our house is heated by a wood boiler and the rooms of the b&b have an independent thermostat that can be adjusted by guests. In breakfast we try to use typical local products at zero km to promote sustainable tourism.
Room "Aunt Mimi"
Room was comfortable and tastefully furnished, has a double bed and private bathroom (with sink, shower, toilet and bidet). With a small ladder you can access a nice loft with a couch.
The room "Aunt Mimi" is accessible by private entrance directly from outside and has a large terrace.

Dronero is a town of about 7000 people at the beginning of the beautiful Maira valley where you can find every kind of comfort shops, banks, bus, tourist office ...

How to reach Dronero
From Turin: Motorway A6 exit Marene, continue on the SP 662 and follow signs to Savigliano for Costigliole of Saluzzo, and finally Busca Dronero.
From Cuneo: SP 442 for Caraglio and Dronero (22km).
How to find the B&B from Dronero
Take the road up the mountain near the mini-golf (on the road Dronero-Busca) and follow the signs "SANTUARI" After a few turns to reach the sanctuary of Santa Maria Delibera (1.5 km from Dronero). Once past the picnic area you arrive in a dirt clearing with a wooden cross on a concrete base, take the dirt road leading up to the left of the famous sanctuary of San Costanzo al Monte (about 400m). In view of the sanctuary, turn left and follow the bend and routes the last 700m of dirt road you came.
You can find the last stretch of dirt road with the uneven ground and potholes (especially after periods of rain or snow).
