The building dates back to different eras. The erection of a first stone church, the east, along the crypt, is about 1190.

One of the main features of the Monte San Costanzo is that exactly reproduces the crypt of the church above the plant.

The sanctuary is located only 700m. from the B&B "il PICCO".
